It is with immense pride and excitement that we gather here today to mark our company’s historic moment in our second milestone to contribute Kenya’s geothermal development – the groundbreaking ceremony of Menengai III Power Plant. Your Excellency, your leadership and unwavering commitment to sustainable development have paved the way for this momentous occasion.

Kaishan is a comprehensive and leading manufacturer in the world of compressors, expanders and modular power plants etcetera. Our factories are located in Asia, America and Europe, and our products are sold in over 90 countries and regions in the world.

We share the same vision as Your Excellency and your government on the green and renewable energies. Because of the vision we have, we developed modular geothermal power plants, which are powered by Kaishan expanders. Kaishan modular geothermal power plants have changed the geothermal industry. Our modular power plants are featured with high efficiency, high availability, inexpensive, quick delivery and installation, flexibility to form various high efficiency cycles. Our 1st milestone in Kenya is Menengai I geothermal power plant. The required guaranteed net power output is 33.25 MW, and the power plant actual net output right now is around 38.4 MW. The power plant operation efficiency is over 100%. In addition, we do not consume any steam to eject the non-condensable gas from the system. GDC can use the saved over 30 t/hr steam, or over 10% of the power plant actual steam consumption, to generate more power.

Menengai III will be our second milestone in Kenya. In 14 months from today, the construction of Menengai III will be completed and the power will be put to the grid. This is Kaishan’s speed and Kaishan’s efficiency, and it will demonstrate continuously the advantages of Kaishan modular geothermal power plant technology.
Menengai三號電廠將是我們在肯尼亞的第二個裏程碑。該項目將在14個月內全麵竣工、並網發電。這就是開山速度和開山效率，也將繼續彰顯開山模塊化地熱電站技術的優勢。
We will not stop here in this project. As Kaishan is the leader in the world on the hydrogen and process gas compressors, and as we share the same vision as Your Excellency on the green industrialization and renewable energies, we will definitely participate in the Africa green industrialization initiated by Your Excellency, and we are honored to have the opportunity to build the first green fertilizer plant in Africa. We will not only install more geothermal power plants, but also use the geothermal electricity to generate the green hydrogen and to produce ammonia from the green hydrogen. Kenya’s agriculture will benefit from the green ammonia, and it can also be used as a fuel to replace diesel, to reduce the carbon dioxide emission and to meet Kenya’s net zero initiative. With Your Excellency’s support, Kaishan will produce Kenya’s first kilogram of the green fertilizer in 24 months from the notice to proceed. Your Excellency, we know it is not easy to achieve this target, and we definitely need Your Excellency and your team’s full support. With your unwavering commitment and support, both our teams together will accomplish this great project and create a new landmark of the green industrialization in Africa.

We will closely work together with Kenya government, our partners in the country and local communities, in this project and also in all the future projects. Through all these projects, we are not only to pursue the green and renewable energies, such as the green electricity, the green hydrogen and the green ammonia, but also to create more jobs and to result in more economic impact on local communities.
開山將與肯尼亞政府、肯尼亞國內合作夥伴和當地社區密切合作，共同推進該項目以及未來的所有項目的順利開展。我們不僅要追求綠色電力、綠氫和綠氨等綠色可再生能源，還要創造更多就業機會，為當地社區帶來更多切實的經濟效益。
30 years ago, when I was working on my PhD in United Kingdom, one of my hallmate was from Kenya. It was the 1st time for me to have an opportunity, to get to know better Kenya, its great people and the beautiful country. Since 2017, I have traveled to Kenya many times, and I have witnessed the huge changes and achievements in the country. I am so glad and honored that I can contribute to the very small part of the achievements, and Kaishan is so proud and honored that it can contribute too. Of course, we will do more and better, and we must do more and better.

In about 10 days I will go back home to United States to vote our next president, I wish, and hopefully, we will have a new president who will have the same vision and commitment as Your Excellency on the green and renewable energies and on the sustainable development.
